We Recommend George Keeley's
An Upper West Side gem we frequent George Keeley's for it's great selection of craft beers. Need something to munch on? There's free popcorn at the end of the bar. Help yourself!

Craft Ale, Popcorn, and Darts
Submitted by simili on 2011-02-23

This place is my go to spot for good beer on the UWS. The hh is only a dollar off, so if you are looking for half price deals this is not your place. But if you want a good seasonal draft they have a nice rotating selection. They aren't pretentious like some other city beer bars (meaning your non-beer snob friends will enjoy themselves and won't get vibed for ordering a bud light). They have good nachos and bar food as well, but we usually opt for some lomo saltado at flor de mayo accross the street instead.

Not the cheapest happy hour but great beers

If you're looking for a really cheap deal for happy hours go elsewhere. George Keeley's has beers for the finer taste buds. It usually doesn't get too crowded which is good. They have a self serve popcorn machine which rocks. The crowd is more in the late 20's to early 30's and relaxed. I'd come back here again for sure.
